You can’t wake everyone up

An important part of the spiritual path is getting to the realization that not everyone is going to wake up. As you start to make progress towards personal enlightenment, it’s natural you want to share your newfound wisdom, but you have to respect it isn’t for everyone.
Chances are, if you’re here, you’re human and you’re reading this, you are in with a solid chance of waking up. I wrote a reasonably compelling article on why you’d want to wake up recently but not everyone is in this reality for that purpose, at least not yet. That can be difficult to accept for someone on a spiritual journey who with a changing perspective just can’t understand why people are happy to stay asleep. As people putting in the work will know, not everyone is interested in hearing about it, and the more obscure and weird your conversation becomes, the more people tune out. Don Juan talked about this in The Fire from Within. He said that as people’s assemblage points begin to shift, they are going to look deranged. So don’t worry about looking like a nut, just understand that the path is unique to you and not everyone needs to hear about it.
Check the clip from the Matrix below, it’s one of the most important scenes in the whole of the Matrix. Neo after recently taking the red pill is shown the truth of the system. As Morpheus says, not everyone is ready to be unplugged (metaphor for awakening). As Dr Michael Newton discusses in his book Journey of Souls, which has many accounts of NDEs (near-death experiences) and past-life regressions, souls are at different stages of development. The newer souls may just be here for the experience, completely unaware of any deeper meaning. As Robert Monroe found out the system itself depends on the production of loosh, a harvestable energy source emitted by humans. Without participants playing the duality game, this wouldn’t be produced. The system would fail. There would be very little meaning. Everyone would be zonked out in ecstasy. Maybe now it makes sense as to why there is so much discord in the world. It’s by design. It is such a clever system that it does allow for awakening. I see reality as a video game, maybe something like an escape room (not literally), but obviously not everyone is cognizant of that and weren’t designed to be.
You also have to consider the fact that not everyone may be source players, sentient beings with awareness. The Bible doesn’t talk about this, but the Gnostics did. They divided people into three categories; Hylics, Psychics and Pneumatics. If you’re here and still reading, there’s a good chance you’re a pneumatic (or you’re my parents). Hylics are the equivalent of NPCs in today’s simulation theory discourse. I am not sure my thoughts about NPCs but Don Juan talked about beings who looked human but had no glow of awareness. Perhaps in reality these people are so absorbed by day-to-day life that their shells appear empty. Either that or the NPC theory has substance. Either way, these beings are designed to maintain the system. They are critical in keeping reality glued together. Even those that seem to be nothing more than a thorn in your side are really just showing you where your shadows are. As Michael Singer says, every time you get triggered, you should throw a party. It’s an invitation to choose differently and let go of your stuff. By losing baggage (of the personal self) is how you become a more evolved being.
If you think about it, the system is very clever and elaborately designed. Some people are just here to have fun with the duality game, strive for personal and material success, ingredients that help make the world go round and keep things interesting. It’s not that they aren’t smart enough to understand awakening, even if it seems crazy they would be indifferent to it. Understand that each person’s life plan is designed uniquely. So next time you try to wake someone else up, ask yourself if they’re truly receptive. It isn’t your job to convince anyone. Those that are will let it be known to you. Do your best, but as Don Juan would say, do it with impeccability. Don’t waste your energy where it isn’t well received.
